Build the infrastructure behind every home loan

We’re a small team automating the slowest, most manual part of mortgage lending. The problems are genuinely hard, the stakes are somebody’s house, and there’s a great deal left to build.

What we value

The things we actually mean

Every company publishes a list like this. These are the four we make real decisions with — including the decisions that cost us something.

Flexible by default

We care whether the work is good, not where you were sitting when you did it.

Hours bend around lives — school runs, time zones, the part of the day your brain actually works. We plan in outcomes rather than seat time, and reasonable asks get a yes without anyone filing a request for one.

Innovation is the job

We’re automating judgment calls an industry has made by hand for decades.

Trying an approach nobody has tried is the ordinary expectation here, not a side project you squeeze in after hours. If you can see a better way to do something, propose it — and expect to be the one who gets to build it.

Ownership, end to end

Small team, wide surface.

You take a rough idea through design, build, and the part most places quietly skip: running it in production and watching what it does to real numbers. Nobody hands you a ticket and walks away, and nobody takes the interesting half of your problem.

Trust is engineered

Lenders put collateral decisions in our hands.

We hold SOC 2 Type II because that trust has to be provable rather than asserted. The same standard applies inward: say the true thing, raise the broken thing early, and never let a colleague discover it the hard way.

How we work

A short list, honestly kept

Anyone can write that they’re flexible and love innovation. Here’s the version with details attached, so you have something concrete to hold us to in your first month.

Async first

Decisions get written down. Missing a call never means missing the decision, and you shouldn’t have to be awake in one particular time zone to influence it.

Few meetings, and real ones

A meeting needs a reason and an outcome. Everything that doesn’t clear that bar is a message, and your calendar stays yours.

Ship small, ship often

Short cycles beat big launches. We’d rather learn something true in a week than defend a plan for a quarter.

Learn the domain

Appraisals, inspections, QC, risk. You don’t need to arrive knowing any of it — you do need to find it interesting once you’re here, because the leverage is in the details.

Direct feedback, early

You hear what’s working and what isn’t while it still matters, from people who want you to be right rather than to be seen catching you.

Why it matters

Every one of these is somebody’s home

Collateral is the step between a family choosing a house and a lender being able to say yes. Today a great deal of it still moves by phone call, PDF and follow-up. What we build decides how quickly that yes arrives — and how often it’s the right one. If that sounds like a problem worth a few years of your life, we should talk.

Hiring

Open roles

No open positions

Nothing open right now

We only post a role once it’s real — funded, scoped, and ready for somebody to start on. That keeps this page quieter than most careers pages.

We’re growing, so this won’t stay empty for long. Check back, or follow our news and you’ll see it when we start hiring.
