API Integration

Wire Dwelling Blocks into whatever you already run

Everything the platform does, your own software can do — orders, assignments, reports, QC review, payments. Add webhooks and it works the other way too: the moment something happens, you know about it.

$250 one-time setup, then $10 a month. Activated per company from your account settings.

How it connects

Ask for anything, or be told the moment it changes

Two directions, both included in the same subscription. Call the REST API when you need something; take webhooks when you’d rather not ask.

REST API

Everything the portal does, your software can do.

Authenticate machine-to-machine — exchange a client ID and secret for a bearer token — then work against the same resources the platform runs on.

  • Orders: create, search, update, hold, resume, cancel
  • Assignments: offer, bid, accept, reject, reassign
  • Reports: upload, revision requests, QC review results
  • Payments and transfers, with invoices and refunds
  • Vendor panel: users, licenses, coverage, scorecards
  • Lookups: report types, fees by county, FIPS geography
Webhooks

No polling, no refreshing a queue.

Point an endpoint at your own service, or straight at a no-code tool. Events fire as they happen, on both the lender and the vendor side of an order.

  • Order created, assigned, accepted, rejected
  • Appointment set and inspection completed
  • Report uploaded, ETA set, revision requested
  • QC review items completed, failed or waived
  • Payments requested, completed and voided
  • Transfers released, updated and reversed
Who it’s for

A large operation and a one-person shop want opposite things from an API

One wants the platform to disappear into software it already runs. The other wants to stop watching a queue. The same subscription covers both.

01

Lenders and AMCs

Connect your LOS or in-house system directly. Orders are created where the loan already lives, milestones and reports come back automatically, and nobody re-keys an address between two screens.

02

Vendor companies

Run panel operations from your own software: distribute assignments, track licenses and coverage, reconcile transfers. Useful whether you place a hundred orders a month or ten thousand.

03

Independent appraisers and inspectors

No developer required. Point a webhook at Zapier or Make and turn platform events into the tools you already use — a text message, a calendar hold, a row in a spreadsheet.

Worked example

One appraiser, one webhook, no engineer

We already text you when an offer lands. But a text is one channel, and it says the same thing to every appraiser who gets it. A webhook is the version you shape — offers routed into whatever you actually check, filtered by your own rules before they ever reach you.

01

An offer lands

A lender places work in your coverage area. The offer reaches your endpoint the same instant the text message goes out — you’re not waiting on a slower copy.

02

Your endpoint catches it

Point the webhook at Zapier, Make or your own URL. No code, and nothing to poll or keep refreshing.

03

Your rules decide what happens

Only over $500. Only inside thirty miles. Only these counties, and never during a week you’ve blocked out. The ones that clear reach you; the rest wait in a list.

04

It arrives where you actually look

A Slack ping, a WhatsApp message, a calendar hold, a row in a spreadsheet, a card in whatever you schedule with. Then accept or decline through the API.

Anything Zapier or Make already connects to, without writing a line of code — and anything at all if you’d rather point the webhook at your own service.

Webhook events

The things worth knowing about, the moment they happen

Subscribe to as much or as little as you want. One set follows the job from the side of the company placing it; the other follows it from the side of the person doing the work.

Following an order

For the company placing the work
  • An order is placed, updated, put on hold or cancelled
  • An appraiser is selected, and the assignment is accepted or declined
  • The inspection appointment is set, and the inspection is completed
  • A report is uploaded, or its estimated delivery moves
  • The due date changes
  • A payment is requested, completed or voided
  • Somebody adds a message to the order

Following an assignment

For the vendor doing the work
  • A new assignment is offered in your coverage area
  • A bid is submitted, and an offer is accepted, declined or withdrawn
  • Assignment details change — fee, due date, contacts, notes
  • A report submission completes, or a revision is requested
  • A QC review item passes, fails or is waived
  • A payment transfer is released, updated or reversed
  • A file is shared with you

Exact event names, payload schemas and delivery guarantees come with the API reference once your integration is switched on.

Pricing

One price, whatever you build on it

API Integration is activated per company from your account settings. There are no per-call charges and no separate tier for webhooks — the same subscription covers both directions.

  • Full REST API access, machine-to-machine authenticated
  • Every webhook event, on both the order and assignment side
  • Your own API credentials, rotatable from account settings
  • The complete API reference, opened to you on activation

Why it matters

Every handoff you automate is a day you stop losing

Collateral work is fast right up to the moment it waits on somebody noticing something. An order that lands straight in your system, an offer that reaches an appraiser in the field, a report that files itself the minute it clears QC — that’s where the days come back.
