The Importance of Updating Your Address for Accurate Assignments and Allocations

Keeping your address information up to date in your profile is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of assignments. Many assignments are based on your location. If your address is outdated or incorrect, you may miss important tasks or receive assignments that are not relevant to your area.

Please select an address from the search suggestions or verify the location on the map.

Your profile address can only be updated while you are physically present at that location. This is a mandatory requirement from the lender, and it is why the browser asks for your location when you make the change.

How to Update Your Address

You can update your address in two main ways:

• Using a Form:
  When you begin to update your address, simply start typing your property address in the search bar. As you type, a list of matching address options will automatically appear in a dropdown menu.
  Just select the correct address from the dropdown — no need to type the full address manually.

• Using a Map:
  For even greater accuracy, use the map feature to drop a pin on your exact location or enter your latitude and longitude coordinates. This is especially helpful for rural or hard-to-find locations.

If You See “Location Permission Denied”

This message usually means that location access was previously denied for either the browser app or the Dwelling Blocks website. You must allow location access at both levels.

First, check that you are actually on-site — the address cannot be updated from anywhere else. If you are on-site and still stuck, try these in order:

1. Open the Profile page in a new incognito window. A private window starts without the stored refusal, so the browser asks for location access again. Allow it, then update your address.
2. Try a different browser. Chrome, Firefox and Safari each keep their own location permissions, so one refusing does not mean the others will.
3. Try a mobile device. Phones tend to have less restrictive location settings than desktop browsers, so opening the site on your phone and updating there often works when the desktop will not.

If it still fails on your phone, the steps below turn location access on at both levels.

Android — Google Chrome

If you see “Location permission denied” while updating your address in Chrome on an Android device:

1. Open Settings on your Android device.
2. Tap Location and make sure Use location is turned on.
3. Go to Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions → Location.
4. Select Allow only while using the app.
5. Open Chrome and visit the Dwelling Blocks profile page.
6. Tap the lock icon or site information icon beside the website address.
7. Tap Permissions → Location.
8. Select Allow.
9. Reload the page and try the location check again.

If Chrome shows a permission prompt, select Allow.

iPhone — Safari

If you see “Location permission denied” while updating your address in Safari:

1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
2. Make sure Location Services is turned on.
3. Select Safari Websites.
4. Choose While Using the App or Ask Next Time Or When I Share.
5. Turn on Precise Location, if available.
6. Return to the Dwelling Blocks profile page in Safari.
7. Tap the button beside the address bar.
8. Select Website Settings.
9. Set Location to Allow.
10. Reload the page and try the location check again.

Both the browser’s device permission and the Dwelling Blocks website permission must be enabled. If the error continues, close the browser completely, reopen it, and try again.
