Setting Your Capacity

Updated

Capacity is the number of assignments you can handle at one time. Lenders use it when deciding who to send work to, so it is one of the settings that directly shapes the offers you see.

Where to set it

Capacity lives on your profile details page, alongside your address and phone number. Click the field to change it, or use the Update button to edit several details at once — see How to Update Your Profile Information.

It also appears as its own item on your profile status checklist, because a profile without a capacity is not considered complete. See A Guide to Fully Activating Your Profile.

Capacity is a hard limit on offers

While you already have as many active assignments as your capacity allows, you will not receive new offers. Offers start reaching you again as assignments close out and free up space.

That is why the number matters more than it looks: an out-of-date capacity does not just make you less likely to be matched, it can stop offers reaching you altogether.

Set a real number, then adjust it over time

Set the number you can genuinely carry, not the one you would like to be able to carry.

  • Left unset, lenders have no way to know you are available, so you may receive nothing at all.
  • Set too low, offers stop while you still had room to work.
  • Set too high, you take on more than you can deliver on time, and work starts arriving late.

Expect to adjust it. Once you have run a few assignments through the platform you will have a better sense of how many you can carry at once, and the right number changes with the season and with the kind of work you are taking.

Keep it current

Review your capacity whenever your workload changes: taking on a large assignment, a busy stretch, or a quieter one. If you are going to be unavailable altogether, Vacation Mode is the better tool — it removes you from assignment entirely rather than trimming the number. See Taking a Break or Stopping Work.
