Paid when the assignment completes, not when someone gets round to it
Your fee transfers the moment the work is done, with a receipt on the assignment and the money in your bank a few days later. No invoicing, no net terms, no chasing.
Chasing payment is unpaid work. Every hour spent asking where a fee has got to is an hour not spent on an assignment — and for most vendors it is a routine part of the month rather than an exception.
It is not how payment works here.
Paid on completion
The fee is agreed when you take the assignment. When you complete it, that fee transfers to your connected Stripe account immediately, and you get an email confirming it. Stripe pays out to your bank a few business days later.
There is no invoice to raise, no billing cycle to wait for and no net terms. The work finishes, the money moves.
Fully transparent, on both sides
A transfer receipt is attached to the assignment itself, so what was paid, for which property, and when, lives with the work rather than in your inbox. Your payout history sits in one place in Dwelling Blocks and exports to a detailed report when your accountant asks for one.
Your Stripe dashboard is the same picture from the other side, and it is yours rather than ours. Every transfer that has come in is itemised with the detail behind it, alongside every payout Stripe has made to your bank and where each one stands. Nothing is aggregated into a lump sum you have to unpick, and nothing depends on us telling you what you were paid — you can see it yourself, in an account we do not control.
Stripe handles your 1099s as well, so tax season is not a reconciliation exercise.
Payments run through Stripe rather than something we built ourselves, which means bank details are held to PCI-DSS Level 1 standards with fraud monitoring on every transaction. You connect your own account, you update your bank details directly with Stripe, and you can disconnect whenever your business changes.
For lenders: this part is handled
Paying a panel is real operational work. Onboarding vendors for payment, collecting bank details, running the payment cycle, issuing 1099s at year end, and answering the emails when something is late — none of that reaches your team.
Dwelling Blocks pays the vendor. You settle with us. Your team places orders and reviews reports instead of operating accounts payable for a network of thousands.
There is a quieter benefit to it as well. Vendors who are paid promptly, every time, answer your invitations — and the appraisers you most want on a difficult order are exactly the ones who can afford to be selective about who they work for.
