Why Am I Not Receiving Assignments?
Updated
Who decides
Dwelling Blocks is the software platform. The lender configures and runs the selection process, and we do not have access to their criteria. That means our support team cannot tell you why a particular assignment went elsewhere, and cannot influence who receives the next one.
What we can tell you is what the lenders weigh:
- Your performance score with that lender. It is visible only to them — see Understanding Your Scorecard.
- Your location and coverage area, relative to the property.
Lenders also do not send an assignment to everyone at once. The first offer goes to a small group of vendors that match it, which is why a quiet stretch is not by itself a sign that something is wrong.
Eight things to check on your side
These are the parts you control. Working through them is the fastest way to rule out a problem with your account.
- Your profile is complete and your status is Active. The profile status page lists anything still outstanding — see A Guide to Fully Activating Your Profile.
- Available for assignments is on. With it off you receive nothing at all. See How to Enable "Available for Assignments".
- You are connected to the lender's panel. Each person is approved individually, so your company being connected is not enough. See How to Connect to the Lender Panel.
- Your coverage area is broad and current. This is the lever with the most room in it — adding counties you genuinely serve widens the pool of assignments you match. See Coverage Areas.
- You are not at capacity. Capacity is a hard limit: while you are at it, new offers stop reaching you until an assignment closes out. See Setting Your Capacity.
- The report types you work with are enabled. A type left off means those assignments never reach you. See Select Report Types You Work With.
- Allow Bid Offers is set to Yes. Lenders often use bid offers, so leaving it off can mean missing work. See Understanding How Bid Offers Work.
- Our emails are actually reaching you. Offers arrive by email, so a delivery problem looks exactly like no offers at all. Open the Activity tab of your profile and check for failed deliveries — see Troubleshooting Email Delivery Issues.
How to Stay Ahead and Succeed with Your Assignments collects the day-to-day habits that keep you in good standing once the work does arrive.
Where to get help
If you have worked through the list and something on the platform looks wrong — your status will not go Active, a setting will not save — use Get Support and we will check your account.
